“Marlboro offers an essential sort of student-centered, interdisciplinary education and close-knit, supportive community that is very difficult to find in today’s higher education landscape,” said Julie Kidd, president of the Christian A. Johnson Endeavor Foundation. “Endeavor’s board and I are so pleased to support the continuing efforts of Marlboro College to provide its special and meaningful brand of educational experience.”
Building on their already generous support, exemplified by these student travel experiences, the Christian A. Johnson Endeavor Foundation awarded Marlboro an additional grant of $825,000 over the next three years. The grant will go toward international programs, career services, admissions and marketing, and planning for the future of Marlboro.
“Without small jewels like Marlboro among the usually less effective giants, higher education would have nowhere to look for real life examples of true efficacy and excitement in the college experience,” continued Kidd. “For all these reasons, we feel energized by the thought of assisting Marlboro in establishing an even firmer footing for itself in the years to come.”
